The last day of 2008

Today's the last day of 2008. I wonder if there will be more posts on this day as people around the world reflect back on the year that's gonna go by in a few hours. Here I am enjoying ice cream and thinking if I should be making a list of what I did in 2008.

It would really take a long time for me to think properly of what I've did in the past year; or actually go through my past blog posts for events that I actually posted. Sometimes, or most of the time I don't write posts of important stuff at all.

So I think that for me, it doesn't matter what I did for the past year. What matters is the year that lies ahead. I'm determined to make the coming year better than this year. Hopefully I'll remember all the time to give my best in everything I do and not do anything half-assedly.

And....am I finally gonna do it? I don't know if I want to move my blog to livejournal. Or, more accurately, actively use the livejournal blog I have right now and distribute the link, and abandon this one. But there are many memorable posts here, and I need to move them over to livejournal. A lot of work. So I am in a dilemma. Lame dilemma, you might think. But I don't want to be editing html or CSS codes for a nice layout at blogspot! I'm lazy~~ and livejournal has hundreds of pretty layouts available.

And of course, livejournal's option of restricting readers to certain posts also come in handy. Then I won't have to worry about writing more personal posts.

What should I do? Some feedback please~

I'll end this post by wishing everyone a very happy new year! And have a successful and great year ahead!

No name post

I feel unlucky lately. My computer is off to the doctor's tomorrow. Yea, I haven't used it for even half a year! There must be a problem with the power supply cos it shuts down after a while and I can't get it to switch on again although I pressed the button. But there's power to the USB and the LED buttons =.=

Haih. I want to dye my hair but I'm broke.

They have Hanadan!

Look what I found while leafing through the MAS airlines in-flight entertainment catalogue!

I'd take snapshots of anything that has Arashi in it.

*****

Ryusei no Kizuna had just finished airing yesterday at 11pm Japan time. The drama is over!!! But I am still behind by 3 episodes. I need to catch up on them; but I can't download because my stupid internet is too slow to do anything at all. Darnit. =.=

Okok I am getting back to my fic now, Yvonne. ^^

30% off

I went to Kinokuniya at Suria KLCC during my shopping trip there. I thought I'd sneakishly go in there and take pictures of the Japanese magazines and photobooks which I can't very much afford to buy (meaning Arashi).

There were rows and rows of books everywhere; it's larger than a library. So huge it needs a store map to show you the sections. Rows and rows of books on shelves as high as the walls themselves. And of course Kinokuniya has a whole huge section dedicated to Japanese books. Being cowardly as I am, I didn't dare to take pictures since there were store workers everywhere. So I handed my brother the digicam and ask him to do the job instead.

We loitered around the magazine and photobook section trying to find Arashi items. Yes my brother likes Arashi too, thanks to my influence =D. He was the one who sneakishly took these photos. And he didn't change the camera mode, that's why it was too bright. =.= The flash was reflected by the plastic wrap.

You could not possibly imagine my happy feeling of holding the real items in your hands. The 'hon-mono desu!' kinda feeling. The pictures in the photobooks I've seen before, scanned by fans; but the real books themselves are even better! Cause they're 3D~ I've had the image in my head that Johnny's photobooks are larger but they're actually smaller than A4 size, most of them. Especially the unofficial ones.

So I went around flailing and feeling excited right? And then I spotted this corner beside the alley that has all the Arashi photobooks stacked in rows. The Arashi Around Asia photobook, Pikanchi Double AtoZ photobook, Pikanchi photobook, Otakara unofficial photobooks (Nino and Ohno only), and Arashi is Alive! photobook.

Arashi is Alive! was the without CD version RM120+ (?) with 20% off. And AAA, Pikanchi double and Pikanchi were no more than RM101 bucks each. They're sold at normal price; and AAA has 30% off! Otakara was less than RM60 with 20% off. 'Items entitled for discounts with purchase of another item in the same receipt bought on the same day' it says.

Even without discounts they were already cheaper than usual internet online stores!

Kinokuniya has a discount, so of course I'd HAVE TO buy something!! Like I'd ever get a chance like this ever again. My present to myself! It's so hard to choose just one thing! I consulted Yvonne but she didn't know what to pick too. She said either AAA or Pikanchi double. But in the end I chose AAA photobook cause the pictures are clearer, and every member in Arashi looked very handsome in it (although yes they look handsome all the time) and they were themselves (not their movie characters like the Pikanchi photobooks) and it's official.

Customers are allowed to have a look at the contents inside the books if we bring it to the counter and ask a salesperson to unwrap it for us. So I did, and I was able to look at the pictures in the Arashi photobooks I've never seen before. =D

It says another item in same receipt for discount right? So I ask the person at the counter...

Me: It's entitled for 30% discount with a-no-ther item in the same receipt on the same day right? *making sure I emphasize 'another item' *
Counter-person: Yes.
Me:
Another item right? Any item?? *still making sure*
Counter-person: Any item, even if it's a small pen from the stationery section. *smiling at my stupidity*
Me: Owh, okay. Thanks! *couldn't hide my excitement*

At that time my brother who was beside me already ran over to the stationery section that's at the other end of the store to find a pen. And he ran back a while later with a blue pen that costs RM0.90 XD He said it's the cheapest thing he could find. My brother is so smart. =D

I took a picture of the photobook when I reached home yesterday.

At RM70, this is a steal!!!!! I love discounts. And I love Kinokuniya for giving discounts on Arashi items.

I am so happpppppyyyyyyyyyy~~~~~~~~!!!!!!!

When I buy things in secret when I go out shopping, I always get caught. Why am I so unlucky! Last time it happened with my CDs (20% off the normal price ok)! This time is not an exception. While I was admiring the photobook in my room my mum walked in on me!

Darnit I forgot to lock the door. Too late to hide it cos I was holding it in my hands.

So I said I helped Yvonne to buy it. Cause I couldn't lie about the price, she'd know it! I know it's wrong to lie but I don't wanna face the nagging!! @@ Sorry.

Bon voyage!

The best friend came, and left today.

Bon voyage Stephanie! These few days had been fun. It's been a long time since I've gone out for a whole day shopping and came back so tired. Tired but happy. Feel free to bug me any time; cause I love being bugged by people I like.

Come and visit me again next year!!!!!!!!!!!! Or anytime soon would be the best. As long as I am not having exams.

Last nite

Last night was a gathering among my uni friends. Event? Lecturer's farewell and also friend's birthday party. Had a blast. Pretty much we learnt that if we wanna celebrate a birthday, we have to prepare two cakes - one to eat and one cake without the cake (only icing) so that we have enough to smear on each other's faces.

Happy Birthday Annie! The last of us to turn 20 this year. =D

It so happened that I was asked to come along for a movie. 'Quarantine'. 'So happened' meaning it wasn't part of my plan. It was a late movie, 11pm. And it was a scary movie. I didn't know it was gonna be a scary movie. To me, 'Quarantine' sounded like a suspense thriller. I'm glad I closed my eyes at the scary parts because at least I didn't have more scary images to remember....

Thanks guys for the nice(?) movie! (They laughed at the scary parts. Are they even human?)

Don't watch that movie if u hate grotesque scenes, people. Like seriously.

Went home at 12 something am. It was drizzling, cold but I had to take a shower and wash my hair cause it smelled like icing.

And after that I had to finish up a report to hand in today at 10am. I stayed up late. I can't believe I had to stay up late even though my exams are over! Today also, I had to wake up early to hand in the report. So seriously now, I'm tired.

But all I need is chocolate and eye drops then I'm ready to go.

Cause tonight Stephanie is sleeping over! She came from Bintulu on a holiday I think. So later we're gonna eat dinner and also catch up on what is up, I don't even know where to start.

It's good that she visit after my exams, and she is visiting me =D I don't need to do the visiting~

Can't wait to meet up!

Final exam over!!!!

Yay!!!! Final exam is over! It's the longest span of final exam I've had till now, even my mum says so. I don't really think I did well in them this time, but I'll try not to think about it now.

I have so many things to do! I am waaaaaay behind in my Ryusei no Kizuna drama watching, it's a month till it ends! SO fast! Waaay behind by 2/3 episodes - which was it? Definitely must download and watch it as soon as possible (as I am typing this).

My download quota's reset again this month, since it's the 3rd. So I better make good use of it. By downloading what I couldn't download in uni using home internet and normal surfing at uni.

And I sure need to change my blog layout! And...and..and..
I need a list.

Well, see you in the next post! I'll go have the fun which I'm deprived of for a long time.

Ah~~~ I forgot I have a report to pass up this Friday. Gah, it can wait till later.
