Happy Chinese New Year everyone!

Right now, I'm sitting in my room drinking beer and Shandy. While watching drama. Why two drinks you ask? I shared some with my dad! I've passed the age where it's ok for alcohol, plus I've gotten used to it already - pretty much. Once a year won't hurt, right?

Wishing everyone a very happy new ox year ahead!

p/s: I wonder why almost everyone in my neighbourhood has a lot of money to waste in the form of fireworks/firecrackers? It's 30 minutes past midnight and they're still at it~

Plans for winter drama watching and later tonight

So, I've decided that the dramas I'm gonna watch this winter season would be Love Shuffle and also Uta no Onii-san. The latter's obviously so cause Ohno-chan (Arashi member) is in it. ^^

Of course with my turtle internet speed, I probably won't be able to download as fast and as much. But slow and steady. And downloading according to my priority list!

1. Uta no Onii-san
2. Anything else that has Arashi in it.
3. Love Shuffle

Later, I'm gonna go have dinner with my high school friends! Yay! It'd be a blast.

Cya later, I gotta go get ready!

G no~

Hito wa hito, jibun wa jibun~

Definitely, once you start comparing yourself with other people you'll lose.
You have the strength to not lose against yourself!

The super turtle speed internet I have at home is driving me nuts. I can't post anything to Livejournal, okay? Although I want to. So the fic will have to wait...It simply wont go through when I press post. It sucks.

finally the sun~

Finally we see a bit of sun today. It's nice to be able to open the windows and let the warm air come in. It was depressing and cold for so many days already! Too many rainy days gets me down.

And of course, everyone is doing laundry today! ^^

Ah! This article is for the win~

Original article from here

Dear Johnny Kitagawa,

Your agency Johnny's and Associates has managed to turn all your beautiful boys into money making, hip-thrusting machines -- pimping them out on every inch of commericial space in Japan, whether it be a television dramas, variety shows, stage plays, or environmental charity events. You even use them in commercials to sell body deodorant, mobile phones, bath products, and fried chicken. You've let their bubblegum pop music invade all our heads. Some of us find ourselves unconsciously doing the dance steps and matching hand gestures in public. Some of us even parade around as them!

And let's not talk about how well your boys sell: in the Oricon Top 50 of 2008, 20 of the singles are from Johnny's talent. Kanjani8 and Arashi earned the top two selling music DVDS, and let's not forget about the top selling photobooks from Arashi. Stage plays, such as Koichi Domoto's Endless Shock held its 500th show this past year. All the live tours of the boys are highly-coveted tickets. This year, Matsujun was named one of GQ Japan's Men of the Year; Kimutaku and Junichi Okada both took home Best Actor awards at the Television Drama Academy Awards.

Some boys are talented, some boys are not, and some boys... I question if they're even boys in the first place. But that just means there's a boy out there for everyone! You're very protective, making sure your boys aren't wrongfully portrayed in the gossip magazines -- not even letting Asia Pacific Arts use a picture of MatsuJun for our interview story (hmph!). You probably have some master plan to take over the world with your army of beautiful bishounen. After winning the hearts of millions and millions of fangirls, why not conquer everyone else?

Well, all I would like to say is thanks. The world is a much better place, now that we have boys with great hair in flashy, sequined costumes. I can die happy now.

Sincerely,
Kanara Ty

May I just add that Arashi is the best cure for sadness? ^^ I love the person who wrote this article, she's so right!

Johnny's CDL 2008-2009

I couldn't watch the Johnny's CDL because Keyhole TV suddenly has problems a FEW HOURS before the designated broadcast time.

Therefore I had no choice but to download it. And watch the countdown after the countdown had ended. The file size is 5GB! Goodness knows when I'll be able to finish downloading it with my crappy internet speed.

One month? Two months? Gosh~

Mini Arashi!

Simply a must watch! Little kids performing 'One Love' and getting all the dance movements right while lip synching to the song... So very cute!

It would make sense to you if you'd watched the actual Arashi performance first. Then you'd see the resemblance~ ^^

Persimmons

I think I don't like persimmons. I just had some just now, you know.

It was so sweet that I felt sick eating the whole fruit. Why, I wonder? Since I like sweet stuff. It was so sweet but it's pretty much odorless. When you eat something sweet but odorless like that it feels weird, doesn't it.

The best drama ever

I just finished watching Ryusei no Kizuna, finally! Just the right way to end the past year and start with the new. This is the first post of 2009 na....

The last two episodes was so good. No wonder it had such good ratings in Japan. I was at the edge of my seat; although I already knew the ending - thanks to being too curious and also plenty of spoilers in the drama community. I thought the drama was gonna be spoilt by knowing the ending, but the scriptwriter KudoKan sure has a way of wrapping up the drama in its last episode. Although the actual murderer I know already from the spoiler, I didn't actually know how it was gonna end. It was moving and amusing at the same time.

It's definitely the best drama I've watched, ever! Not because I was being biased cause I like the main actor. I realise now that how good a drama is isn't the amount of tears you shed during the moving parts or how much you laughed during it's funny parts; but how much impact it left on you in the end.

I'm having mixed feelings that the drama's already over. I wanted to know the ending but I didn't want to finish watching it - which means I'll put it away and wait for the next drama to watch.

Probably there's not gonna be a drama that's gonna be better than this one!
I'm gonna end this post with the afterthoughts of the drama in my head~
