I recommend this!

http://www.cuteoverload.com/

This. Site. Is. The. Awesomest~!

If you haven't discovered it already, you should check it out! Especially if you love cats and/or dogs and other animals.

As far as I know, 99% of people are either cat-lover, dog-lover, or both-cat-and-dog-lover, or 'fill-in-the-blank-for-the-name-of-the-animal'-lover.

Now we know where they get the pics of cute animals on forwarded emails!

Carpark nightmare

Just now I had my classes ending at 7.30pm. The sun has set and it's dark, and since I don't like walking alone to where my car was parked at the multistorey carpark building, I asked a guy friend to accompany me there. Coincidentally he parked his car at the carpark too.

But he parked at the 1st floor while my car was a few more stories up. So I requested that he accompany me to my car and I'll stop him by his vehicle on my drive down.

I thought I had parked my car at the 3rd floor, so my friend and I went all the way to the 3rd floor. We used the lift at the ground floor. The lift area was lit there. But when the lift stopped at the 3rd floor and its door opened, we came to a 3rd floor which wasn't lit. And when I opened the door out to the carpark area, it's pitch black! Literally! Not a single light was on.

I saw one car parked at the far end of the 3rd floor car park. But it wasn't mine! I started to panic because I remember parking at the 3rd floor. And now my car's not there!

The whole floor was very dark, I was really freaked out because I hated carparks which are dimly lit, they're scary to me; and what's more is the whole carpark floor was pitch dark. You cannot even imagine. That kind of dark empty space is really really scary.

My friend told me not to worry, my car should be okay, and I must have remembered the wrong floor. Sure enough, when we went to the 2nd floor, my car was there. This 2nd floor had an unlit lift area as well. And although there are lights at this floor, we only found our way to my car assisted by a few fluorescent tubes lighting a large space. Which makes it still very, very dim.

Quickly I walked to my car and locked the door when I got in with my friend. Then I felt safer.

I went to sleep rather early shortly after I got home, since I'm extremely tired. And just now I had nightmares about the carpark. Woke up in a little sweat and now I can't sleep a wink even if I tried. And it's only 2am.

Maybe carparks scare only me in particular to the point of getting nightmares. Others might not get nightmares.

Although I was accompanied by a male friend, I still felt it was really unsafe for the both of us. I repeat, the whole floor was pitch black, even the lift area. It's only 7.30pm. Why can't the carpark floor be more brightly lit? It's a carpark, for goodness sake. Bad things always happen at the carpark. With that kind of pitch darkness, you wouldn't realize it at all even if there was a guy with a knife hiding behind the pillar three feet in front of you.

Someone could be lurking next to your car while you walk from the other side in the darkness. And when you open the car door and get into the driver's seat, he could simply enter from the other passenger seat and put a knife to your throat. What will you do next? Scream? Will you dare to scream? By the time someone got there (if they even heard you), you'd be dead already. I shudder at the consequences.

Many people have night classes that end later than 7.30pm. And some are girls. (girls or guys, it's still dangerous) At least they should keep the place brightly lit until 9.45pm, a little longer after the last classes end. They only bother to switch on a few lights on the ground floor where there are more cars, and a few lights at the 2nd floor. This is an inappropriate time to be thinking of saving up on electricity. When something bad happens, it's too late to be sorry and change anything. Nothing can be reversed then.

I'm thinking of complaining to the student admin.

Hello new semester, byebye free time

Today I had my first lecture this semester. I'm not feeling particularly excited for the new semester. I'm reluctant to get busy with anything which is quite unlike me cause I actually get bored of having no classes. Yeah, I do.

Maybe it's because today is the first day of new semester and I have my lecture in the evening, until 6.30pm. That, and a lecturer who seems to go on forever and ever about redundant things. He can talk one hour about logbook keeping! Plus he scares his students about subs we're taking and such. Can't we have some positiveness and encouragement? IT IS the first day of semester after all. His 'welcoming' speech lecture should inject into his students a strong burning passion to take on the new semester and all its challenges ahead.

Bella said he is a nice lecturer though. And he seems nice when you first meet him too. Lets see how it goes on further into the semester.

I am in need of enthusiasm.

I'm back!

I'm back from a shopping trip to KL and then a trip to Sibu for the Chinese New Year. It's quite tiring to be off a plane back from KL to Kuching and then onto a plane to Sibu the next day.

Chinese New Year was like always, it's great. But the angpow amount this year decreased again (like I expected). And I thought I could do some more shopping for the coming academic semester, lol. Some things on my mind like comfortable shoes, new bag, and new hair color which I might have to hide from my mum. Stuff like books and pens.

Since I was in Sibu for the past week or so, I've been deprived of internet surfing, which is my night time hobby. So instead, I annoyed my aunt by reading her Doraemon comics: 'Perang Terakhir antara Syaitan dan Manusia' XDDDDDDD (it's in BM language haha) and not switching off the lights until late night while she tried hard to sleep with the lights on. I am quite sorry for that. And I borrowed one of her books home. Some "Words of wisdom: Tales from ancient China" title while ignoring her "Where did you dig that up from" face.

===================

Since I can online today, I'm very happy to be able to log into my forums and to discover that Mika Nakashima's new single has been leaked already! I've waited so long for it, and very very excited that Mika is releasing new material.

Let me show you the new single cover:

Here. It's not that good of a single cover; this cover doesn't do Mika justice at all. She's had much much much much much (times a gazillion) better single covers than this one. They decided to go all natural for this album cover I guess, since the cover of Eien no Uta (the last single) had lotsa art incorporated.

See? Eien no Uta cover. Very pretty cover art right?

Okay, show you the promo picture now:

On one hand I think that this promo picture is better than the album cover, but on the other hand when it's not enlarged or if you see from afar this picture makes her look like a dead person T_______T

I hate to be saying things like this about Mika when I am such a big fan of her and when she is such a beautiful person T________T

Like one forum initiate said: "The Japanese like ugly covers". So lets just hope that with this "ugly" cover, this single will be able to sell well and top the charts =D

Besides not doing Mika any justice at all, the cover also doesn't do the songs on it any justice. As the saying goes, 'Do not judge a book an album / a single by it's cover'.

Like anyone who knows me well would know, I had the songs on this single playing in a loop since I downloaded it. And I love love love love this single cause the songs are just so goood!!!!!!

Tracklist:
1. SAKURA ~花霞~
2. SAKURA ~花霞~ (DAISHI DANCE)
3. conFusiOn

I'm happy that Mika is releasing another ballad (cause many fans are waiting for one!). The title track, SAKURA ~花霞~ (Sakura ~Hanagasumi~) is the ballad every fan of Mika's ballads are waiting for (exaggerate a bit). A very good ballad which are as good as (if not better than) her other famous ballads (Yuki no Hana, Hitori, Sakurairo Maukoro) This song focuses on her unique haunting voice with piano music normally used in her ballads.

The Daishi dance remix is a really good remix, so although it's 6 minutes long you really won't feel bored with it at all. Some forum initiates even said that the Daishi dance remix of Sakura ~Hanagasumi~ is better than the original version. In my opinion, it's up to personal preference really. I find both equally exceptional (not because I am a BIG Mika fan). If you like the true Mika ballad, then go for the original; if you like a more upbeat tune, go for the remix. When I first listened to the original and it's remix, I thought the remix was a different song (which would be perfectly fine too if it is), which is a pleasant surprise.

conFusiOn? I like this B-side a lot. Again, Mika explored a different type of music style which isn't the normal Jpop we usually listen to (honestly I don't much like the normal Jpop). Mika's music is somehow an acquired taste, cause her music is a potpourri of jazz, soul, R&B, reggae, ballad and rock. This is what I love a lot about Mika, she's able to interest her fans into other types of music by incorporating them into her songs. I really hope this song is gonna be in her new upcoming album, since this song is used in her Kanebo KATE CM (her KATE CMs usually appear in her albums). Login to the Japan Kanebo KATE website to watch the CM, or search for it on youtube!

With the tie-ins with commercials for the songs in this single, (Sakura ~Hanagasumi~ for Panasonic and conFusiOn for Kanebo KATE) I hope this single will sell well by itself and propel Mika up the charts!

I am THAT excited with this single that I am able to write a review about it (which is very rare of me to be that hardworking) and I thought "Why stop there?" so here are the links to download the song....(Credits to FoxxyFuyumi from AHS). And since I don't do reviews that often, sorry if my review is boring; it's my personal opinion only. I'm not very good at describing what I listen to except saying "It's so good!" ="= You'll have to decide if you like the songs by listening to them.
